A man has been arrested after police received a tip that he had issued a threat to kill President Barack Obama’s family dog, Bo.
The North Dakota man had taken a trip to Washington D.C. where he planned to abduct Bo Obama, authorities said.
Bo is a Portuguese water dog and one of the Obama’s two dogs.
The man was tracked down by the Secret Service and found at a downtown D.C. hotel with a shotgun and rifle in his truck. After police arrested him, he claimed that he was the son of John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe and had come to D.C. to announce that he was running for president.
Authorities said the man has mental health issues.
