Dancehall artiste Tommy Lee Sparta was detained by members of the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC) on Saturday night.
“We had left Magnum and headed up to the Manor Park ATM and when we got out, pure masked men surrounded wi wid gun inna wi face say dem come fi Tommy,” a source told Loop News reporter, Claude Mills.
The cops reportedly did not reveal why they detained the deejay.
Efforts to get a comment from his attorney, Ernie Smith, were unsuccessful.
Tommy Lee, whose real name is Leroy Russell, is presently facing lottery scamming charges. He was charged in 2014 under the Law Reform Fraudulent Transaction Special Provisions Act.
The artist is known for songs such as ‘Some Bwoy’, ‘Warn Dem’ and ‘Dismiss’, as well as recent ‘diss’ songs aimed at rival artiste, Jahmeil, with whom he has been feuding.
