Police have appealed for the public’s help in locating an American woman who has gone missing in Jamaica.

Marjan Ehsani

Forty-one-year-old Marjan Ehsani was last seen at a gas station in Half-WayTree, Kingston about 7:10 am on Tuesday, dressed in a white sleeveless blouse, blue skirt and a pair of black shoes, according to the Half-Way-Tree Police.

Ehsani reportedly checked into a Kingston hotel on Monday. Her status in the country is unclear at this time, as she was listed as having a Burlington Avenue, Kingston address.

Police describe Ehsani as being Caucasian, slim build and about 165 centimeters (5 feet 5 inches) tall.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Marjan Ehsani is being asked to contact the Half Way Tree Police at 926-8184, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest Police Station.

The development comes two weeks after another American woman, 26-year-old aspiring model Desiree Gibbon, was found dead with her throat slashed in St James.

Gibbon’s mother told the media in the United States that her daughter had been staying at the family’s resort in Montego Bay with the hopes of making a documentary in Jamaica.
