Chocolate chip cookies are a go-to favorite dessert, sweet snack, or after-school treat. With our easy and simple 8 steps, you’ll have soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies ready to eat in no time.
So let’s see how to make our chocolate chip cookies. Before we start let’s have the list of ingredients.
- 1 egg/equivalent egg replacer(egg replacer used here)
- 115 gm unsalted butter
- 1/4th cup lightly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4th tsp salt
- 3/4th cup chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Step 1 – Starting with melting the butter in the microwave, add it to the stand mixer, add both the brown and white sugar to it. Beat the mixture till almost all the sugar is dissolved.
Step 2 – Add the egg/egg replacer, vanilla extract and beat it till both of them are mixed properly. (max. 10-15 secs)
Step 3 – Add all the dry ingredients in the liquid mixture (except chocolate chips), just scrape off the flour from side of the utensil and mix it only up till all the flour is incorporated.
Recommended – Add flour in batches so there are no lumps formed in the mixture.
Note – Don’t overmix the mixture as the cookies will turn out to be hard.
Step 4 – Add chocolate chips & mix them well with a spoon or a spatula and freeze the dough for half an hour. In the meanwhile preheat the oven to 325F/162C.
Step 5 – Use an ice cream scoop to get an even and consistent amount of dough. Take a tray with parchment paper and place the dough balls at a distance, as they would flatten out.
Step 6 – Bake them for 10-15 mins turning the tray half way through to get even heat, until cookies are golden around the edges, but still soft in the center.
Note – Every oven is different, so it’s usually best to go by your own eye to get the cookies right.
Step 7 – Let them cool completely on a wire rack(at least half an hour), before attacking them.
Step 8 – Ready to serve with a cold glass of milk.
Pick it, Dunk it, Enjoy it.
