Maria Pignaton Pontin and Paulina Pignaton Pandolfi are twin sisters from Ibiraçu, Brazil, who seem to have discovered the secret to health and longevity.
When photographer Camila Lima found out the twins would be celebrating their 100th birthday, she decided to reach out and see if she could set up a photoshoot with them. The 28-year-old photographer says she regularly takes photos of older couples “as a way to inspire young couples.”
As soon as she asked, both Maria and Paulina readily agreed.
On Monday, the Twins got their hair and makeup done and then put on matching pink and blue dresses for the shoot. Camila says the sisters were “all excited” and added that they “did everything I asked and did not complain about tiredness.”
Both sisters were “very happy and satisfied” with the photos and couldn’t wait to show them to their families.
Paulina has six children, 19 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren, while Maria has five children, 12 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
The whole family plans to get together to celebrate the twins’ milestone birthday on May 20. What a celebration that will be!
